Yeah, he has the potential to be a great guy once he’s lost the front. The snark is an act to hide behind, and the events of IK helped what with the talking and Adam believing.

Well...his language has improved, but have we seen the real Ben?

LOL  Personally I think Ben IS a nice guy under cover as a bad boy/jerk.

That's my read of him, too.

In reply to Pendle, I think we have seen a glimpse of him but will see him more as who he is in the next books.

I don't think Ben's interested in taking over the world.
In fact for some reason I'm wondering if the whole evil reputation thing is a cover.  I think he really does have a problem with respecting women, I hasten to add.  But he may be pretending to be suspected of rape, projecting that air of 'killing grandma & eating a peanut butter sandwich over her corpse' on purpose, to flush out someone worse.
Don't know why.
And it's off topic.

Interested in taking over the world?  Did I miss something?

Kkat07, I think Patti L's comment was before IK so she's figuring him out.

Yep.  Look at the date on it:  October 20, two thousand seven.

I didn't notice the date of the first post, only the last; I'll have to remember to check for that.  I was mainly confused because it sounded like it was in answer to a comment or question.  Just my brain not working.  :-[

No worries; it's a lot of material to work through.  And I'll tell you straight out; my mind works in odd ways sometimes, so even the regulars here who have been exposed to me for some time can have trouble figuring out what I'm referring to in certain posts.  So they say "Patti, what?"  Therefore, feel free to question me.

As long as the words actually exist and can be found in the dictionary.   :D  And before I get us more off topic, it's too bad we can't read the part about Mercy and Ben scaring the kids who hurt Jesse from Ben's point of view.  I bet he did have fun; it be funny to see.

Oh, maybe she'll use that in a short story; that would be fun!  I'm very curious what does go on in Ben's head.  And heart.

What if he really does like Jessie?   >D
