Now that it IS published, we can discuss, as long as we use spoiler bars for the next 20-30 days.

Wow it seems we’ve had some very in-depth discussIon going on that I missed out onLOL. I finally finished it! For some reason I haven’t been reading as much the last couple of months and I was in the middle of Cry Wolf on release date and wanted to finish the series instead of jumping straight to Wild Sign.

The ending. My ability to wait patiently for more information on that one is totally insufficient; especially since Charles and Anna are generally only given a passing note in Mercy’s books and Samuel has been gone from them recently as well. So we probably have two years to wait at least!

...seriously that ending has me going, “yeah yeah interesting about Leah’s history[ but *gestures wildly at the ending*”

honestly it broke my heart, especially after Leah had to kill her son and then the doctor lady miscarried. Samuel telling Charles and Anna to call her whatever they want and that Uncle Samuel can visit, literally made me cry.

My kindle battery unexpectedly died (well, I hadn't been paying attention to it!) shortly before the end of the last chapter. I made a noise that startled the dog out of a sound sleep.  LOL LOL  Then I made a similar noise once I pulled the book up on my computer and read the epilogue. What an ending!
On a reread, I noticed the following that caught my attention: When Anna wakes up after that first trip to Wild Sign, she comes out of the tent and sees Charles working on his laptop. Shortly after that, Tag informs us that Charles hasn't been with them all day -- it's Brother Wolf. So... Brother Wolf knows how to use the laptop? And the internet? What is he doing? Just pretending to be Charles? Reading a book? Working on the pack finances? Ordering chew toys to be sent to Bran and Asil?

Brother Wolf ordering chew toys for Bran and Asil while Charles is Out Of Office is now my favorite head canon LOL I bet he sent some to Charles too.

But in all honesty I think Brother Wolf knows how to do finance work. I feel like there’s one or two other places where Brother Wolf has gotten involved in computer work or where Charles (or I think one time it’s Adam talking about Charles) talks about it as a type of hunt; even if it isn’t hunting, it IS providing for his Pack.

Pretty sure it mentioned in the 3rd book that Brother Wolf enjoys hunting down information on the computer almost as satisfying as an actual hunt.

Reading a book?....Ordering chew toys to be sent to Bran and Asil?
LOL

Watching “Bambi”?

After remembering everything in “Wild Sign,chap.13”, why didn't Sherwood notice in “Smoke Bitten,chap.14” that Adam was cursed and help him, like he helped Ruth Gillman in “Storm Cursed,chap.10”?

Wild Sign take place in Sept., the last chapter of Smoke Bitten take place in Oct:

2011  Aug                    Smoke Bitten, chap.1-13
SmBi, chap. 1: Summer still held sway - if only just
SmBi, chap. 12: This late in the summer the hills were…
-----------------------+
2011  Sep                    Wild Sign
WS, chap.10: It is late September,
-----------------------+
2011  Sep - Oct            Smoke Bitten, end of chap.13, chap.14
SmBi, end of chap.13: A month went by.…. Aiden started school, too.
Therefore it was September.
SmBi, end of chap.13: There were a few rough patches the first month of school,
but Aiden finally settled in with a group of computer gamers.
Therefore it was October.
SmBi, end of chap.13: Life happened. And we forgot to worry about Fiona.
