I get that Mercy is setting a good example and taking the highroad like some set for their children when they could so easily do something petty. She's been taking the high road for awhile, she's put herself at risk and nearly died for some who hate her and wouldn't mind her being out of the picture, she has taken on ancient monsters, vamps, fae, and won and got out alive when so many others wouldn't have. Yet for those who still treat her badly and call her weak, and not good enough, as well as those who seem to blame her for everything like Mary Jo, none of these things have taught them to respect her, I'm not taking about being her best friend, but haven't even acknowledged the person she is or her loyalty, even when she saved them all from silver poisoning and rescued their alpha and his daughter, so what will it take for them? How much longer will she walk on egg shells. In fact Mary Jo would rather see her dead then with Adam, and Mercy even saw how she would rather see Adam dead then with her too, then there was the time certain pack members played in her head and put a child at risk, watched her house burn, but made up for it apparently and enough said.

Mercy may be okay or have gotten over their treatment and continued treatment, even after the whole thing and how she felt throughout Night Broken with Christy, but it's still hard to watch. I definitely wouldn't mind them being put in their place by her personally.

I'd kind of like to see that too, but first their eyes have to be opened, like Sylvia, Gabriel's mother did.  That was a start.

Now this is the Adam I love  :-LOVE

I have to admit I would have loved to see him tore Marie Jo's throat out with his teeth.

Now the one I do not really understand is Daryl. Why is Mercy a weakness to him when she saved his bacon. Also, he knew what Adam was about to announce...
He seemed to agree with Marie Jo  >:(

Note the adverb "reluctantly" qualifying what Daryl said. He believes Mercy is a trouble magnet, and it's hard to disagree, even though she gets everyone out of the trouble once it arrives. And I don't think he was agreeing with Mary Jo otherwise. He was ready to escort her out, but it appears from that snippet that she has had a change of perspective after Adam's speech.

Mercy doesn't realize it, at least yet, but she and Adam are good cop-bad copping the malcontents very nicely.

This is not the first time Daryl is being against Mercy, or at least not totally on her side, so I really wonder what he really thinks of her.
To me, Marie Jo is incapable of understanding any thing. She is really what I would call "Dumb" and easy to manipulate. I don't think she changed up her mind about mercy. She is just now aware that she would get in trouble if she keeps behaving the way she does. We know she is like this mostly because she loves Adam, but really this is too much. She deserve more than a threat  >D
I would love to see Adam putting his words into action and making a good example of her LOL

What a waste that would be, after bringing her back to life with Baba Yaga!
Now, if she did something disrespectful in front of a different dominant wolf, or Mercy, they might say "That's it.  If Adam hears, you're dead.  Go to the Marrok. Now."  THAT might be interesting!

All I can say after Snippet #2, is OMG!!!  I love how Adam has laid down the law in his pack.  I think it will give all the wolves (including Mary Jo) something to think about.  When George agrees that this his their territory, and they should protect and defend it, I think it gave all of the wolves something to think about.  March 8 is too far away!!!!

I've read a few reviews, and they were definitely interesting along with a Mercy quote involving Bran and Adam. Mercy mentions Bran abandoning her again and this being twice now, kind of reminds me what I mentioned in Bran's character board not too long ago about his caring for Mercy and her views on it as opposed to what Samuel had said about Bran going to war with the fae if anything happened to her and damn be the consquences, and how he couldn't love Mercy more if she was his own daughter. Wasn't happy hearing about Christy's reappearance even if it is short, no more "awe that's our Christy" when she does or says something nasty if the least I'm hoping for. And the pack, but we got a little of that from the teaser that is posted. I'm a little nervous when it comes to this next book.

I'm immensely excited for this! Is anyone else holding off on reading the snippets as they're released? I think it would make the waiting all the more painful for me, haha.

I power read it after work today. So good.

I loved Mercy and Adam's relationship. I adored seeing Tomas Hao and the Finnegan again. Also, girl talk time! Underhill and strange and fascinating. [/spoilers]

I'd give it a five star review. :P

It's so good to wake up and know that it is finally the day for a new adventure with Mercy!!! the only downside is that you have to actually wait till you can read it  >:(

I have loved every pages of FT...and I liked a lot how with started making me laugh out loud and ended with me laughing even harder!

The "multilevel marketing" and the "nudge" parts are what I needed after the near death of Mercy in NB!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaah finally...Finally.... FINALLY the pack was put in order by Adam, and he couldn't have done a better job about it....can't wait to see Christy reaction when he discover that she can't talk bad about Mercy with anyone within the pack   >D

Aiden was a great new entry so now I want him to be adopted by Mercy and Adam..if not I take him home with me!!!!

The story is strong and actually a lot more unpredictable than the start lead me to think, and I think this show well and to everyone that read her books, how and why Patricia Briggs is so good...she is seriosly still able (after all this time and all this books) to take the readers by surprise with fast turns in the plot that are actually genial...I am thinking about things like: Bran's way to deal with the politics here, but also the walking stick, or understand who were their fea friends or foes (I admit that I was totally fooled by one of them), and also Baba Yaga character LOL

I liked also how light and funny some parts are in this book...I have loved the heaviness and doomed vibes of NB but this time Patricia Briggs have choose to wright something less sad and she have done a great job at find an equilibrium about sadness and joy, fightings and playfullness...and everything goes so smoothly for me that I wasn't able to find a single page superluous.

I have truly enjoyed this book from beginning to end and with another masterpeace Mrs Briggs have put me back again in the condition to wait hungrily for the next book, that I will buy again as soon as it come out....not many authors have this pull with me nowdays ^___^

I felt like a beloved character died when the Walking Stick That Wasn't Just A Walking Stick was destroyed. I loved it too much to lose it and I had better see it turn up again in the next book.... like some sort of ancient tree grows instead of lavender..... I refuse to believe it is gone.  :(
