Just finished my first reading of Naomi Novik's Uprooted, released last week. It's not part of her Temeraire series. For mature audiences with two sweet but explicit sex scenes, this is a book that works on many, many levels starting with the story itself, which is both gripping and a really powerful metaphor of personal and global issues. I stayed up way too late finishing it.

I've never read any of the Anne books.

I've got "The Hen of the Baskervilles" going.

Is this the title of book you're reading?  Who wrote it?

I'm reading the Baen Free Library "Draw One in the Dark" by Sarah Hoyt online at wr0k.  Finished "Fledgling" by Sharon Lee & Steve Miller from same source, so I've pulled out my hardcopy edition of the next book in the sequence, "Saltation", but haven't cracked it open yet.

Just started the download of this month’s audiobooks. :)

The second part of a pretty good post holocaust series: Yesterday's Gone: Season 2

And an Octavia E. Butler: Dawn: Xenogenesis, Book 1

It’s been years since I’ve read any of her stuff. Looking forward to it. :)

I read Fledgling and Kindred. Kindred was so intense I had a hard time finishing it.

The Cuckoo's Calling was excellent. Those are must reads for me, but I do wait for the PB version.
