I am envious that you got hold of that Patti. :)

Reading bits and pieces from Anne Bishop and Patty to stave off impatience for March to be here.

Which?  Black Dogs, or Impulse?  So far I'm not impressed with "Impulse"; my tastes have been made too sophisticated by David Weber's "Honor Harrington", I suspect.

Black dogs. I've been wanting to try it, but the low price on Amazon for a used copy is $123... I am not that tempted. 9)

Wow. I could finish reading the 2 volumes, ship them to you, and you could ship them back for a LOT less than that.
It's not her art, by the way.

Stopped by the used book store yesterday and scored a copy of Wen Spencer's Tinker. I had read the second in the series based upon many recommendations, but hadn't been able to locate the first. So I am a happy human. Also found a couple of Diane Duane's fantasies.  Her YA Wizard series is a favorite, but these are the first of her others I have seen. And Lavender Green Magic by Andre Norton, which I read as a kid at least four decades ago, but my only memory of the book is of loving it. These should get me a little closer to spring.

I'm planning a reread of that while waiting for March 3.

Of what? Frost Burned or The Hob's Bargain (which is a very good read so far, I got halfway in one day)?
