I've decided to do a re-read of "Dragon Ship" by Sharon Lee & Steve Miller; my memory of it is very chunky, as though it doesn't mesh into one story.
We've had our toad for the 2020s, it's got to get better from here!
But do beware the toad burps.

Just finished The Goblin Emperor by Katherine Addison.
Enjoyed it very much. For a book with maybe half a page of action scenes it grabben my attention and held on very well. Almost unputdownable.

As it turns out Katherine Addison is a pseudonym for Sarah Monette whose writing I do enjoy very much. :)

Absolutely!

I am reading Pia Saves the Day, which is a self pubbed novella by Thea Harrison in her alternate reality with the dragon and other assorted mythical beings being real.

Just finished "A message of hope" by Lorna Byrne. Fiction to some, non-fiction to others...
Probably going to read the sixth Temeraire book after this, but also started on a semi-autobiographical book by a friend.

I'm juggling a pile of books - three for work, and three for fun. The fun ones are The Book of Ballads by Charles Vess, A Biscuit, A Casket by Liz Mugavero, and an anthology, Summer Rain.

I bought the Diana Tregarde mysteries that were on sale yesterday and was thinking maybe I'd start one of those but I also have a book on loan from the library Pergamentet by Gert Nygårdshaug. Which needs reading soon before the file disappears.

They are a fun read. It is too bad she was bullied into not writing any more of them.

Last I'd heard, she had decided to meld that world with the SERRAted edge elves & "Bedlam's Bard" world, so folks would have to either accept elves, kitsune, shape changing dragons, and that lot, or give it up as honest to gosh fiction.  I believe she has Eric Banyon of "Bedlam's Bard" living in the same building.

Yeah. That happened 10 to 15 years later.

Yep.  Sometimes it takes that long to figure out a save. And Eric was in an Underhill for about that long.
