Urban Fantasy..TV?
« on: January 18, 2013, 01:37:29 pm »
Me and the family all love watching tv with dinner (I know, the HORROR!) and we generally work through one series at a time.

So far we've watched a LOT but my favourite settings are usually urban fantasies or gothic/horror like shows (virtually anything with vampires in it).

Just wondering if anyone knows of any Urban Fantasy shows?

Supernatural is a pretty popular one. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is an older one that was very popular.

Grim, if it wasn't cancelled.  I was a Teenage Werewolf.

Blood Ties

Based on the successful books by Tanya Huff, Blood Ties follows Vicki Nelson (Christina Cox), a private investigator who was released from the Toronto Metro Police because she is going blind because of retintus pigmentosa. It was a normal day in the office when Gothic girl Coreen (Gina Holden) comes into her office to help her find her boyfriend Ian's killer; whom she believes was a vampire.

Can't believe this hasn't been mentioned yet - or maybe I can't read, in which case, apologies  :-whistle - but: True Blood.

Of course, it might have been implied by Gremore. :-)
