The Spirit Ring is another beautiful one by Lois McMasters Bujold.

(and also my first introduction to one of my favourite authors)

We've had our toad for the 2020s, it's got to get better from here!

But would you agree with me, Patti, that The Curse of Chalion is the apogee of her writing? Not to mention that Caz is one of my all-time favourite heroes  :-LOVE

I'd better check my terms before I agree; you use words with more precision than I do, quite often.

I will say that the last...1,000... words of "Cryoburn" are hard to imagine surpassing easily.
We've had our toad for the 2020s, it's got to get better from here!
