Haven't been as fond as the later ones in either of these series, alas.
Have you read the 'Thieves World' anthologies he edited & wrote in?

Have either of you read the sequels to the 3M that Sarah Hoyt is writing under her maiden name, starting with 'The Musketeer's Seamstress'?  Or 'Not Exactly the 3M' in the 'Guardians of the Flame' series?

That's a matter of taste, Thea.  I liked the first generation 'guardians of the flame', but didn't get into the ones about the second generation.
The Sarah D'A(whatever, it's Portugese, & I can't be certain I'll get it right) caught me with a sample over in her part of the Baen's forum, with the big, inarticulate musketeer waiting for his swordsmanship student, and giving an excellent sense of his strengths & weaknesses, and making him very much an individual.  Then I made the mistake of going at them in the order they were written, & didn't like being inside the head of the musketeer who was the main character of that one.  I think, given how you love character driven fiction, you could enjoy them very much.

I love Brust's work, and I have gotten quite a few friends hooked on his stories.  Vlad has got to be one of my all time favorite characters anywhere (and Loish is hilarious).  I'm behind a few books in the Vlad series, and I still need to read Sethra Lavode of the other series in that world.  Brust's sense of humor is amazing, and I am really looking forward to catching up on his books!

I'm looking for literary or sf/fantasy magazines to submit to, if you have any good suggestions, drop me a line!

Has anyone here read Freedom and Necessity? Brust coauthored this with Emma Bull. Like the way he used the style of the 3M time period he uses a nineteenth century voice for F&N.
