Also read "When Demons Walk", Temari, that has some interesting things for the world.  And great quotes.
"Black is sexy!"  "No demons?  How boring!"

Oh, I remember now, yes.  I kinda got fixated on the one she didn't wear the underblouse with & the one she wore when they were setting -- Ok, I'm stopping now, so I don't commit spoiler.

I'd really like to see a sequel to When Demons Walk.  After all there is what ever is going on at the Hot Springs that's mentioned at the end of the book.  It was such a FUN read.
Sigh

???  So is there any way to get a digital copy of the book for cheaper, or does somebody have a copy I can borrow??? I'll pay shipping to and from, I just really want to read it before I move on in the series.  Amazing how 15 years ads so much money to things. :o

M'dear, welcome.  The pirated e-version seems to have gone away.
Check the "Borrow a copy of Masques" thread for info on getting hold of it.
Would that Madame got some of that extra money, but it's all going to what should have been the end consumers.

One of the scenes from Masques that I really liked was the one with the gaurd reporting to the arch mage. It about sent me into tears when it mentioned his wife and how she'd spend all night darning his uniform, and how she would never need to do so again.

I thought that scene it was interesting as it showed how even the people really close to the arch-mage believed his projected picture of himself. I wondered too if that young girl and/or her family were really pleased when the arch-mage chose her as his lover. I thought they probably were and she was really excited and honored to go to him - until she found out what he was like.

I'd like to see a follow up on how the people react to the archmage's death. Aralorn and Wolf should be safe enough but, are the people devastated at is death, do they remember how they felt, is he remembered as beloved and wonderful, how did Myr go about erasing the rumors about himself, etc. I'm hoping some of this will be addressed when Patty does the rewrite/update.

I think you see a little of that in Steal the Dragon - I think all the Uriah that were left rampaging around were blamed on the archmage?
