Tony's possible point of view
« on: January 22, 2019, 09:13:20 am »
In Silence Fallen (book 10) we get more from Adam`s point of view. I loved it!
I also hope we will get sometime something from Tony`s point of view.
He is just a human but know much more than most of them.

Tony's point of view would be interesting. Maybe a short story on when he realized how Mercy could always see through his disguises.

Always fun to see Mercy from someone else's point of view, and Tony, being human and not preternatural at all, would be particularly interesting, I'd like to see his first reactions to her, then him re-assessing her from about the time of Frost Burned, where he first saw her change shape.

Perhaps a series of diary entries?

Reports? Or case notes he kept?

I really like the reports idea! Though I'm not sure that he would include Mercy's shapechanging in an official report.

Tony's changing concept of her would be interesting.

Might be fun to see how he worked around it in the reports. I don't think they could constitute the whole thing and still convey what happened, though.

Wasn't the change Tony saw just to chase the dead Fae? If so, his report wouldn't have needed to mention it; just that she and Adam tried and failed to catch the Fae.

And we're off into Tony's point of view; do we want to re-name the thread, or split off?

Whatever's done with the thread, we'll string along with it.

You probably can't; the mods do that sort of thing around here. If you ask Patti, I'm sure she'll oblige.
Hello Patti L, please split the thread from my first entry to a new thread “Tony`s point of view”.
Thank you.

And done!

I just had a thought; one of the things that would be interesting for this would be also seeing how Tony, a 'baseline' human, sees and reacts to the kinds of fae and other preternaturals he knows about.
From either his musings internally, or some diary entries, find out if he's speculating to himself on other types, because (If I'm recalling correctly) he's been told by Mercy that there are things it's better he doesn't know about, as in Vampires, although they naturally aren't mentioned specifically.

I agree. That would be very cool. It's part of why I like Kel in the Protector of the Small series, because she has to deal with all this magical cr@p without having any of her own to use.
