And we know what happens when the law arrives after the end of this chapter.

Storm Cursed, end of Chapter 1:
He glanced again at the disembodied head, a shadow of regret on his face. I wondered if he had known the other goblin, or if he was just regretting the necessity of killing one of his own.
He looked up and saw that I was watching, then muttered, “The eyes are the best part.”

Patty is a genius how she shows Larry’s non-humanity!  bOuNcY

I Remember from SF that Larry is an old ally of Marcilia and now I have a suspicion how Marcilia disposed of the corpses of her sheep’s.  :o
Eyes shouldn’t be affected by blood loss.

Ben …said. “Well, sod off then, and bon appétit.”

:X  Now I have a sudden urge to become a vegetarian. :X

And here I thought that Larry, the Goblin King, was a totally nice guy.

Nice. Now give me the damn book.

ETA: Almost every book I am waiting for this year has had the pub date moved back. I don't know WTF is going on with these publishers. Not gonna lie, I'm getting a little frustrated.

Well, if it's her stuff, that's understandable. The other three I'm currently waiting on have been on the publishers.

Reading the book now. :)
[Bran] had risked everything for me. At what point did that happen? Can someone remind me of the details? Was it Bran going to Europe undercover or was it something else?

Wulfe is getting scarier by the day

Finished! :)

Wulfe. What even?  on multiple levels. He uses white magic? He willingly interpreted the command to be at peace in a way that didn't final kill him? Just changed him emotionally???  Just Wulfe. He's literally utterly insane isn't he. I can't even. The fact that Mercy would rather call on Elizaveta than Wolfe, even after finding out she's a black witch. Well. Elizaveta got her wish - she managed to get her youth back.  I do wonder what Campbell would do if he found out he's a walker. Maybe Mercy should tell Hank about him.

Really liked this, lots of threads.

I was running all day and didn't make time to pick it up, partly because things that needed to get done would not have gotten done while I was reading. If I can get everything that needs to happen tomorrow accomplished, I will pick it up in the evening. Otherwise it will wait until Thursday when it's raining and outside things have to wait anyway.

Makes sense pondhawk. Nn

I second YuleRule. What the heck is up with Wulfe at the end, there? I want to know how to affects him beyond him just laying on the ground.

Well.  That was Something.
:D Plenty of Nudge.  >D
I'm kind of curious, are their avenues of information dried up, or did Bran, Charles, Anna, and Asil not let the Columbia Basin pack know about their brush with the Hardesty witches?  Or did they think they'd broken the group with the death of Granny Daisy? You'd think Bran would know better at the least.  Although their bold move into the TriCities may be related to losing her.

I also keep wondering if Sherwood isn't a relative of Bran's.
