Well, that bit of info (H/T to the Juntavas rep) made it necessary for me to wander around the Pinbeam Books site, and in doing so I learned of a S/F/F/Gaming bookstore in my old stamping grounds.
Now, I just have to work up an occasion to head south a ways.

Juntavas = pirates.  Go for "Talk Like A Pirate Day".

Pirates, thieves, and smugglers, among other things. I used to have a memory, I think. There was a scene, perhaps in 'I Dare' where a representative of the Junatavas' High Judge called on Val Con and Miri, looking for their missing judge who was last known to be in the presence of Pat Rin. To establish a friendly tone to the meeting he brought info from the High Judge.
The scene has stuck in my mind, and the term info as well. :-whistle

Ah, yes, he ended up on the shuttle up from Miri's clan's home world, as I recall.

I think Misravot was something else, but the colour of that wine is right fo what I imagine when they talk about blue wine.

I am slow in these early A.M. hours; when I posted that I could only think that I didn't want to try thumbing through my copies in hopes of falling over one of the discussions of wine. With an additional 24 hours it occurred to me that "Duh, try a search, dim-dim" and lo and behold. I found this:

Which contains this:
misravot — Altanian wine; blue in color, tastes strongly of cinnamon; an acquired taste
