I read Minor Mage over the last couple of days. I agree with her that it absolutely is a kids' book, but I was kind of a precocious kid that way. Now I'm on Nine Goblins. I wasn't overly fond of Swordheart due to what I considered an excess of angst, although it was amusing before it got excessive. It may be that kids' books are more my speed.
