Actually I'd read Dies The Fire years ago. That's the book that really brought home to me how much people want their own skills to be valued. I do recommend that book, but I'm not interested in reading further into the series. My feeling is that if I want to read quasi-medieval epic adventure, we're spoiled for choice. The first book was all about adapting, which made sense to me. I think it would get old quickly though.

Doing a reread of Wen Spencer's Elfhome series, currently in the fourth book, Wood Sprites. I reread Project Elfhome, which is short stories and novellas, first. Wishing Harbinger would show up one of these days. It was due out last year.

I grabbed 5 of the 6 "Sparhawk" books at the half-price book store a week ago.  Went looking on Amazon/kindle for a kindle version of book 3.  I'm shocked to discover it's apparently not an ebook.  I'ts offering various dead tree formats, free with an audible 30 day trial, or $22 for the audio version without the membership.
Dang.

Arthur C. Clarke - Collected Stories

Currently at his White Hart tales and am surprised how much humour they show, makes me wish he would have had found time to collaborate with Sheckley once.

Trying to finish William Gibson's Peripheral Vision. He may have stared the genre with Neuromancer, but he is not the easiest to read.

"Major Pieces", the kickstarter book of left out or background scenes from the Peltedverse story arc by M.C.A.Hogarth.  Liking it quite a lot.  There are things that have to do with books in that universe that I haven't read yet, but they make me think I may be able to stomach them after all.  Maybe.
