 :) Nice to recall.

I am reading some of Orson Scott Card's Ender series. I have read all of his Alvin Maker series, and a few standalones, but had only read Ender's Game around the time it came out. Have now finished the next two in the series, which were not published in chronological order, and am in the middle of Xenocide.

I have also finished a couple of memoirs, Educated by Tara Westover, and Full Disclosure by Stormy Daniels.

Daniels is a hoot, and there are some real LOL moments in there. She's had a rough life though, and I'm not sure she realizes even now how some things affected her. I bought it to support a fellow horsewoman, and having read it, I find her admirable in many ways. Even though I didn't make the choices she did, there were certainly times I considered them. She made a lot more out of herself than I would have had I gone that route.

Tara Westover grew up in a family led by a bipolar fundamentalist Mormon survivalist in Idaho. She never attended school until she applied to college. She has earned degrees from BYU and Cambridge University in England, and fellowships at Harvard. Her memoir is fascinating, grueling, and inspiring.

Tempests & Slaughter, the story of Numair's time at the Carthak university with Ozorne & Varice, from when he was 10.  I'm about 3 years in now, and he's already getting erections sporadically.

I read that a while back. Not sure I'm interested enough to continue in that particular series, but it was nice backstory.

Between that and Lego Porn, I guess there are no contenders anymore in todays "Things I didn't need to know" category...  9)

Oh honey. There are so many contenders, and if you are lucky, you will continue to be unaware of them.
