« on: March 15, 2013, 01:40:19 pm »
I'm reading sizzling hawt Beyond Control by Kit Rocha *fans self* its very good and I love the worldbuilding, and characters! And I am also reading Beth Kery's new serial. I seem to be on an erotica kick at the moment heh.

Have you listened to Hidden Almanack recently?

Just got through a bit of Dino Erotica for a online reading circle, which was surprisingly... amusing.
Now I'm back to "The complete adventures of Sherlock Holmes" (In the middle, more or less, of The Return of)

There is dino erotica? O_o!

Yes I've listened to the Almanac. I find it soothing someone sometimes after wr*k, as well as funny.

Gerd did you get to read the Big Foot erotica series? THERE IS LIKE a whole series of that plus other monster mash types. It is so craaazy :D

I just finished The Martian by Andrew Weir a while back and I highly rec it. Stranded astronaut has to find a way to survive on Mars. The narration of the hero is just fantastic - he made the science feel alive and it was also very snarky and humourous.

I am now reading Knight's Honor by Rachel Bach - its the 2nd book of a SF trilogy which I am really enjoying - has a great heroine!

Tee-hee, no, I usually avoide erotica (the common language found in there isn't mine) - but the Dinos drew the boy in me in. :D

Got Donna Leon's "By its Cover" today,
also Leann Sweeney's "The cat, the lady, and the liar"
and Kerstin Gier's "Rubinrot" (Ruby Red) (in exchange for "The Rosie-Project", which dissapointed me; found it neither as romantic nor as funny as I hoped for)

I just finished a short story: THE WAR IS OVER AND EVERYONE WINS ~Zachary Jernigan

A very interesting mix of race and family issues. Well done, IMO. (All the white folk were
killed off deliberately, using a virus.)

"'My wife and child were killed by people like you,' I told him. Though my voice was calm,
I hit him hard enough to knock three teeth out of his head. He had to be taken to the hospital."
~Protagonist speaking to his father.
