Read banned books this week!  Check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_banned_books for what's been banned, you'll be amazed.

Imagine that! Animal Farm banned in the USSR!  LOL

(Although now it applies just as much to the USA.  :()

I've already read many of those. >D

Everyone should read BNW and 1984.

I hated BNW, could have easily skipped that one.

Maybe I'll pick up Catch-22. My SIL, brother, and little sister all enjoyed it.

I enjoyed Catch-22.  I'm getting Brave New World mentally mixed up with "On the Beach" which movie they made us watch in high school, apparently attempting to turn the kids off of SF.

1984 is definately worth a read in my opinion. It wasn't a book I'll probably read again, but it was in my top three for books we read in class that year.

Other good stuff too; Harry Potter, To Kill a Mockingbird, I'd be surprised if The Hunger Games isn't in there somewhere.

Not the same story at all. LOL I like them both. :)

One day (perhaps for BBW) I will read BNW, but On The Beach - the movie, at least - was so dystopian, downer, I don't want anything more to do with it.
