Books Taking Place in The Amazon or South America
« on: May 27, 2012, 12:14:18 pm »
Hi all, I've been on the lookout for fiction books which take place either in the Amazon or in South America in general. I'd prefer the Amazon, honestly, but I'm not picky. I already know of books published by Isabel Allende, so I have a few to start with. I was wondering if anybody knew of any others?
"The wicked flee when no man pursueth, but the righteous are bold as a lion." ~ Proverbs 28:1

"Don't be embarrassed of who you are, they're gonna judge you no matter what you do." ~ Melina Kanakaredes

"Hide yo kids! Hide yo wife! There be otters in the roof of Wal-Mart!" ~ Galby

"Frog, The Horse that (or is it who?) Knew No Master" by S.P. Meek, and one or two books about Franz, the Doberman in the police force, same author.  Very old; like 70-80 years, though.

One or two Doc Savage books.
It's a leap year. Sanity is in short supply.  You can't have mine.

Not necessarily South America, but not in Euro-centric knock-offs.
