Avatar question

I tried to add an avatar to my profile but keep getting a message that the picture I want to add is not an avatar. Is there a special format that needs to be used for avatars? I am attaching the picture I would like to add.

Well, first of all, it's a .jpg rather than a .gif, and second, the info coming with it says it's 115x123 pixels. Our system accepts nothing larger than 65x65 pixels.

Some board software automatically resizes, its been so long since I've uploaded one, I don't think ours does. If you don't have a program that does that I'll be able to do it for you later tonight. Nice picture, BTW.

The older software did, the new stuff doesn't.

You can just grab and save to your computer. I'll remove it from my server later.

Can you please fix my avatar choice too? If it's simple to do, perhaps a step-by-step here would be appropriate. This pic is from my old cell...

Sorry, you'll have to wait for Elle to get at it, I'm on my slowly disintegrating backup computer, and I can't actually access it on my computer to try to manipulate, even if I knew for sure how to re-size it.

And I'm about as sleep deprived now as I was then, so if you want more answers, you need to read my PM reply, and answer it quickly, or it'll have to wait a minimum of six more hours.

It is simple to do but in order to you must have an image program like Paint Shop Pro or Adobe Photoshop.
It's just a matter of resizing your image using one of those programs.
Here you go though. You just need to save it to your computer and then upload it as an avatar choice. Right now it's on my server so I'll give you a few days before I remove it.
