I read it once in high school and once in College. Which really showed me the difference between high school dissections of books and college level dissections.

I knew there were some pretty big prehistoric animals, but I didn't know there was a snake species that had ever become that huge! Kind of reminds me of that fictional giant snake from the Harry Potter series, the basilisk.

Thank you. I learned about a new snake. I agree it sounds like a basilisk from HP. I also learned that Smithsonian has a TV channel. :D

Have started watching a chinese historical tv drama called Nirvana in Fire. Very enjoyable.

I have to agree with all of that, though it would certainly have made the scripts tougher to write.

Yeah, I agree with most of that article, but as Pondhawk said, the script writing would have been a challenge.
