What movies are you panting to see?
« on: June 15, 2011, 05:31:06 am »
When I go to the theater, it has to be an action movie.  I won't go see a movie if I think it'll make me cry.  However, once it comes out as a freebie I might try it.

Yeah, one has to be careful, or next thing you know they come up with such strange notions as making movies with a story. LOL

Troll Hunter looks to be a fine, trashy movie:

And Quarantine 2, love the tagline:
"The most deadly virus just went airborne... and escape is not an option."
That has a certain cleverness.

I'm looking forward to John Carter based on the John Carter From Mars novels by Edgar Rice Burroughs. No trailers but here's the teaser poster:

I heard about a new movie called "The Raven", which, according to IMDB.com, is
Quote
A fictionalized account of the last days of Edgar Allan Poe's life, in which the poet is in pursuit of a serial killer whose murders mirror those in the writer's stories.

John Cusak is Poe, which should be interesting.

I'm really looking forward to Captain America on the 22nd. I hope it's a good as trailers are making it out to be. It's set in the 1940's and it's the origin story for CA. I like how it'll set up the upcoming Avengers movie.

The new Mission Impossible trailer is also floating around. It looks good, I think it's out in July as well.

Oh yeah!  I forgot about Harrison Ford!  How could I forget him?  He's made some real classics over the years!

Planning to see HP and The Deathly Hallows 2 this weekend. Probably along with half the city.

Gerd D that Troll Hunter looks like fun, have you seen Dead Snow another norwegian zombie offering, I watched it the other night and got plenty of laughs http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1278340/

Cowboys and Aliens is on my list and looking forward to the next batman installment Dark Knight Rises, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. I watch DVD though, cinemas have too much perfume, cleaning gunk and chemicals in them for me to spend time. Im looking forward to Fast and Furious 5, Transformers: Dark of The Moon, Your Highness (love danny mcbride and james franco together). I love movies as much as books but not chick flicks, never could watch them

Saw the trailer for "Dead Snow" just yesterday on DVD (together with the trailer for "Bloodrayne vs The third Reich") looks fun alright, quite a few nods to "Evil Dead" and such in "Dead Snow" from the looks of it.
