Kate Paulk

Kate Paulk is another new fantasy/paranormal writer. I have two of her works, Impaler and Born in Blood, both about Vlad Dracul, who I think you recognize as the more or less historical origin of the character Dracula. Good, a bit grim-ish in spots, Prince Charming the guy is not, but I was cheering for him. I liked these, and will consider getting some of her other work, when the book budget permits. Available from Amazon and Naked Reader Press.

For now, I don't know how long the offer will last, Born in Blood is available for free download here:
http://nakedreader.com/joomla15/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=28&category_id=9&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=11

It's US$1.99 on Amazon, so save yourself some gold while you can.

Impaler is US$3.99 either way, but my understanding is that Kate gets a slightly better cut if you buy from Naked Reader Press. Available here:
http://nakedreader.com/joomla15/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=40&category_id=6&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=11

Her other works includes:

Knights in Tarnished Armor by Kate Paulk US$1.99

Legion: The Enemy Within by Dave Freer and Kate Paulk US$0.99

A Rush of Wings by Sarah A. Hoyt, Robert A. Hoyt, Taylor M. Lunsford and Kate Paulk US$2.99

Night Whispers by Dave Freer, Sarah A. Hoyt, Robert A. Hoyt and Kate Paulk US$2.99

Hell of a Job by Kate Paulk US$0.99

Naked Reader Press is here:

(BTW, that does not refer to the reader being without clothing.  Trust me, I promise.)

Didn't she also co-write a few Valdemar stories with Sarah Hoyt for the collections?  The "goblin" and his friend/partner?
We've had our toad for the 2020s, it's got to get better from here!
But do beware the toad burps.

Well, their pair (?) were the best stories in the last collection, IMO.  Even at least with the story by Ms. Lackey, and way better than most of the others.  One of them drove me wild with how it messed with the "canon" of the world.  I like the ones with the buddies.
