My favorite character is menolly, she is a very gifted person.

I also like, that one of the females in, i think, benden weyr, was bitchy because she was existing in two places at the same time.

i forgot what book that was from though.

Lessa is her name, and Brekke and Sharra were the best two female characters by far. F'nor and Jaxom are the best male characters.

I like the ones that take place before AVIS, except the second one.

Yes, several of the books made me cry. :'( :'(  But I just love 'em.  I think it's just the idea that your never alone and your dragon is always there for you.   :)

That's one of the reasons Pern is my favorite world to rp in.

Wasn't it Ramoth's first queen daughter's rider who was the wierdo when she was 10 years back at Southern? Rather than Lessa?  And that broad was selfish when she wasn't time traveling, or Brekke wouldn't have lost her queen.

I always wanted to Impress a dragon too, I had daydreams about going to Fantasy Island & Impressing there...

Made me glad to see Companions over in Valdemar with something of the same quality, although more human style intelligence, & then the Treecats in the Honor Harrington universe.
Heh.  There's a conversation thread over at Baen's bar Honorverse site about treecat adoptions, I got into it hoping it was about getting virtually adopted.

Dragons yesterday, dragons tomorrow, but no dragons today, I guess. :D

I only recently read "Dragonsong" and my only complaint is that it only has 200 pages- I wanted to continue reading forever. It's probably not the right order, but I have the Harper Hall series on my "to read in the near future" list (Amazon loves me) and will look into the Dragonriders after that.

Don't you love it if you discover a whole new fantasy world with lots of promising books ahead of you? ;D

Collaroy, read Dragonflight next before the other Harper books.  Then read Dragonquest, finish the Harper series, then read The White Dragon. ;D
