Music in the Mercy and C&A Books
« on: August 25, 2007, 08:39:00 pm »
Hi Patty,

I remember after Mercy sings for her supper at Uncle Mike's that she was thinking about the Friday night performances in Aspen Creek. Also, with Anna having worked at the music store before she was turned, I suspect she might have some kind of musical talent. Can we look forward to any of the characters in either series revealing their love of music or any hidden musical talents? :)

Yes.  Bran and his sons are very musical, and Anna was going to college majoring in music before she was changed.  I expect that especially in the Anna and Charles series (we are looking for a better series name than that!) music will be a part of all their stories.  I can tell everyone, now, that Samuel gives a musical performance in Iron Kissed.  And there is quite a bit of music in the first Anna and Charles book, Cry Wolf.   I will restrain myself, however, since music, like art, is one of those things that is best just touched on in a book (where you can't hear anything!).
