Not quite sure where I should put this.
Got an email from Apex about the following book - this is part of their blurb.
Today, author Jerry Gordon takes us deep inside the standoff, giving us an insider's look at David Koresh, his followers, and what really happened.
Breaking the World, Jerry's alternate history apocalyptic thriller, questions everything the media told us about what happened in Waco twenty-five years ago and asks the horrifying question: What if David Koresh's predictions about the end of the world were true?
Enter the world of Cyrus, Marshal, and Rachel - three atheist teens drug into David Koresh's circle by born again parents. Watch the standoff with the FBI unfold. Question everything. And when the smoke clears, ask yourself, was David right? Are the seals breaking? Is the world as we know it ending?
The bolding is mine. Given it, and my general dislike of doomsday/horror/true crime, I'm not going to be reading it.
I wonder who chose "drug" there; author, editor, news email writer? It doesn't really matter; even if the content was more to my taste, I'd probably come to a halt with that improper past tense.
