I've been seeing tweets about this book for some time.  Today -finally- someone put the "Debut author Kari Maaren hits the ground running this week with Weave a Circle Round, a Madeline L’Engle/Diana Wynne Jones readalike that has landed her three starred reviews from industry journals and a spot on our Best SFF of 2017 list." bit up.  If they'd mentioned DWJ earlier, I might have actually bought it while I had some Amazon $!  Now it's going to have to wait.

A round up of reading 50% or more non "white guy" books this year.

I also have been consciously expanding my horizons that way this year. Haven't been disappointed yet.

~interesting on this list; "Anger is a Gift" by Mark Oshiro; I've been listening to his reading of (and reaction to) the Tortall books by Tamora Pierce; one of the last books on this list is a new Tortall book, the promised "Numair" book, and it seems there will be more than one!

Did I already post this?  https://www.tor.com/2018/01/04/all-the-genre-bending-books-coming-out-in-january/
