That's a great looking wall. To be honest, I'd be leery of spidertopia as well. I know you must still have a lot of outdoors work to do but hopefully you'll be able to avoid the worst of the heat.

Well, I can't claim any credit for the new wall, since all I'm doing is schlepping materials and writing the check.  However, the spider habitat gives Patty the heeby-jeebies (and I'm not brave enough to sit on the fence either!)

I REALLY need to get the comic section of the web page built.  I worked on it for a few hours today, but trying to find all the scans and photos is daunting.  Hopefully I'll get something posted tomorrow night, because we're leaving for a convention on Friday!

Hi Mike,

The wall is gorgeous!  I had some dry stone walls put around my  house several years ago, and I love them, but fortunately here in suburban Baltimore, spiders aren't a big problem.  Hope the little fellows don't scurry toward the house when their habitat is destroyed!
Changing the subject just a little here - apologies to the moderators in advance.  I went to the forum pages for Masques and the dates were so old I wasn't sure you were still reading them.  Hence, I'm asking here.  Any chance we'll get a preview of Wolfsbane prior to publication?

Thanks a bunch!

We always try to do a sample chapter (usually at least twenty pages) so that prospective readers can decide if they're interested in buying.   I'm usually in favor of showing more and earlier, but Patty claims it's like fishing, you don't want to throw all your bait out before you're ready to fish!

We usually give a preview a couple of months before the book comes out, which means (checks watch) that it's about time for me to put a sample chapter of the revised version of Masques up, and next month I'll need to do Wolfsbane.

We just walked in the house, utterly exhausted from a three day convention.  Tomorrow I'll get a sample chapter up!

OK, it took longer than expected to format the sample chapter.  The final version was only available as a .pdf from the publisher, and it took me a couple of hours to wrangle it into decent HTML.  At any rate, and Patty's comments are now available on the main site:
