This is a great series.  I love how his character is evolving over time, but he's still a sarcastic bad-ass even so.   :D

He also has another series called the Khavren romances starting with the Phoenix Guards (based somewhat on the Three Musketeers)
that takes place hundreds of years before Vlad is born.

And Brust just finished writing a new Vlad book: Jheegala! I don't yet know when it will be out.

Brust is one of my favorite authors.  His humor is strong.  His characterization is strong.  And he is one of the most skilled at simply putting words in a line of the writers I know about.

Check out "To Reign in Hell", too.  "Brokedown Palace", and I think he did the rather odd "Cowboy Feng's Spacetime Bar and Grill".
We've had our toad for the 2020s, it's got to get better from here!
But do beware the toad burps.

"Cowboy Feng" was very odd as I recall. I have tried to get into his work but the few I have read didn't inspire me to continue.

To be honest, I read the first few about Vlad & got bored, too complex & spread out over too many centuries, with torturous names & clan affiliations.  There was one bit in 'To Reign' that just cracked me up, though.

I've got several of the older ones.  Let me know if you want to borrow them, Thea.

The books early in the Vlad series are excellent...The later ones have kinda been lacking...Orca, just stunk on ice!!

Oh, man, I haven't seen or heard that expression since the early 'Phule's Company' books!

I enjoy Phule's Company quite a bit and his MYTH books as well...
