As promised, the frog and the questionable snake.
I'm still having issues with the molds... this time I had bad silicon and it didn't set up.   >:(

Anyways, new critters:

I like the frog, even if your snake is still having some issues.

I like the frog! It's adorable  :-LOVE

Would if be possible to make the snake lifting it's head? It might be more visible that way.

The problem with making the snake lifting its head is that it's that much easier to break off, unless I make it ridiculously thick.  I have a couple of ideas I can try... my favorite would be to do it as a tree python coiled up this way: http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/42166000/jpg/_42166860_baumpython203.jpg .  But there is apparently a question as to whether I even need a snake, so first I'm re-reading to see if there is a snake piece.

I am quite pleased with the frog.  I've had trouble with frogs in three dimensions before, but this one seems to have worked nicely.

I think I've found a less expensive source for liquid latex for the molds, so I might try that instead of dealing with the problems of silicone.

Anyways, I think I'm going to turn the cat into a fox tonight or tomorrow, so another piece soon!

I am going to have a breakable-object problem with the stag piece.  Antlers are breakable.  Anybody got ideas on how to get around that?

If the stag is calling with its muzzle in the air, the antlers could be attached to the back.

The classic is for the muzzle to be up, and the antlers laid against the back of the stag.

Jinx, Janilee!   :D

Awesome, thanks! (can't believe I didn't think of that one... finals week is killing my brain, and I only have two finals to take!) He might be after the fox.. but only because I'm going to be OCD on the wolf and the dragon.  And if I need another bird.

I think you should double check the book before you work on the snake and do another bird. We may have missed those upthread but the list that I gave you was from the book. I'll have another look as well.

p 139 (the new edition) - "I'm going with you," Tris announced calmly as he moved his snake a space beyond her frog.

Ah. Excellent. I'll add it to the list. :) I see that's where it references the bird as well. Do you think she's talking about either her sparrow or owl? That's a lot of pieces on the board right now to add another one in addition to the snake.

I wonder how many pieces there are and if the board is bigger than the typical chess board. It's the rule "cheating is ok, as long as you don't get caught" that makes me wonder. In chess it would be easy to see if someone moved an extra piece but with more characters I can see how that would much more difficult.

That tree python looks like it would be interesting, Kyria. Good luck!

And a fox and snake.  The snake is better, I think, though still not my very favorite critter.  I do love the fox, though.  The pictures totally don't do him justice.

And, I found some affordable liquid latex!
Mold in progress (still has the mushroom model inside):

I love the fox! He's adorable!

The snake looks much better than the last one. The head almost looks too thick though.

I wish I could actually watch you make them, it would be fascinating!
