Here's a gun that really blurs the lines between toy and deadly weapon.   On the other hand, I wonder if we armed all of our soldiers with these, would war be more friendly???

I dunno; even if you got shot by a clear member of the other army, would it qualify as "Friendly fire"?

They used to paint insane asylums pink...until they did studies and found out that the color actually made the inmates crazier.  War is hard enough on our poor soldiers, let's not make it worse.

Jax, that's amazing; and it puts another spin on both "surgical appliance pink" and the assertion that someone made to Taura in the Miles Vorkosigan books that "pink is non-threatening".

Because some French salesman made a mistake a couple of decades ago, from what I've heard. (Feel free to research and prove me wrong, this is what I was told.)

Some manufacturer, I think when commercial looms started coming into use, got the idea that there should be 'signature' colors for male vs. female, and set it up to be pink for men, blue for women, but a traveling sales rep got it backward and pushed it around with pink for girls, blue for boys, and rather than fight it, the manufacturer, and those buying the cloth, just went with it and made it spread.

My husband works for a LARGE gun manufacturer and they were recently commissioned to make a pink muzzle loader for Martina McBride - it was pink camo - it was kinda neat when it was done.
