A question about determining a book title.

Hi Patty, I see that the Charles and Anna book doesn't have a title as yet.

I don't know how it works for getting one. Do you write most of your books knowing what you want to call them? Or it just comes to you midway through or at the end of the writing process?

Book titles give me nightmares <grin>.  Sometimes they are easy: Moon Called, When Demons Walk, Raven's Shadow, Dragon Bones, Dragon Blood.  Moon Called, Dragon Bones, Dragon Blood  I knew before I started writing the book.  When Demons Walk came toward the end.   Sometimes they are miserable -- Steal the Dragon had a bazillion terrible titles before that one occurred to me.  My wonderful editor comes up with some terrific ones:  Blood Bound  -- and the new title for the Anna and Charles book, Cry Wolf.

Nina Kiriki Hoffman is awesome at titles, BTW.  Her first book was "The Thread that Binds the Bones".  Now isn't that just the best one ever?  It's a terrific book, too.
