Do old vampires go mad?
« on: September 08, 2007, 07:55:31 am »
It's been said more than once that werewolves, when they get particularly old, tend to go crazy, so I was thinking: vampires do get very old too (well, they're supposedly immortal if not for the fact that they're not exactly alive...), but they don't seem to have this same problem. Is it because they're actually dead? Or because they have no soul or something like that?
Just a thought on a sunny afternoon...  :)

Hmm.  I kinda thought most of the vampires are more or less crazy <grin>.  But seriously, I'm not sure.  I know that Marsilia is just coming out of a sort of fugue state, partially brought on by her exile -- but age played a factor in that.  Bernard and Estelle aren't that old.  But Wulfe is, and he's crazy like a fox.  I think I'll have to meet more vampires before I know exactly how they are affected by age.
