OMG Nifty!  LOL LOL LOL

Go back to the first book! You are missing some good stuff.  :D

Oh I should warn you. The beginning of the first book is a little hard to get through. Push through it, it gets much better!

I usually peak at the last page, which quite often makes no sense till I actually get to it, but wow! LOL Never done that sort of skimming and peaking. Well, except when I grabbed what I thought was Cat & Bones book 3, but was actually book 4... I thought Jeaniene had gone crazy with all the skipping ahead.

Anywho, thanks to Lilliana ;), I have just finished Magic Bites and now need to get my hands on the rest in this series. Trying to talk the hubby into reading it (and I think I will succeed) but he's currently Jim Butcher-obsessed...

Off to Amazon I go!  ;D

Yay, another kitty joins the club! Now go buy the rest of the books so you can be Ilona Andrews obsessed! And read On the Edge too -- its a paranormal romance with humor - different from Kate Daniels but written very well.   :D

Great Snippet!  :-LOVE

Is the next Edge book supposed to feature Rose and Declan also?  The excerpt from the back of Kate #4 -- YES, I READ THE EXCERPT FOR EDGE #2 BEFORE I READ THE EDGE #1 -- only really seems to talk about William.

I don't want to write the great American novel. I want to write the great American beach read. It pays better!

MMmmm William - cannot wait for his book and I think that cover for Bayou's Moon is just gorgeous. But yep Rose and Declan is the couple in the first Edge book.

Nifty also check out the snippets for Alpha Menz although the series is now called Alphas on the blog - its rough draft though with the snippets but that is going to be another new series out next year. Its darker than Kate Daniels and the Edge books. Think Anne Stuart heroes for this one!

Blech.  Not sure I'm a fan.  Alpha heroes are tricky for me.  There's a fine line between being an obnoxious, overbearing, uberarrogant blowhard, and being an appealing alpha hero.  So if they go too dark, it doesn't always appeal to me.  Plus, I don't like them when they're too wounded -- which is what often accounts for the "darkness" -- because then their past takes over their present, and that screams "immaturity" to me.

From the sounds of this series that these are dark heroes in the sense they are not apologetic or have damaged pasts because its part of their nature. I think its more like Luciver/Daemon in that from the Black Jewels series- And I am not keen on that trope with the damaged pasts to explain domineering behavior -  and they did blog about  there is a fine line.

Ilona actually blogged about the different type of heroes on the Oddshots blog -
