Re-reading Cryoburn I ran across this paragraph
Quote
For the first time, he wondered how much the news of his own encounter with the needle-grenade had felt like history repeats to his father, if it had triggered unwelcome old memories of the Princess-and-Countess Olivia’s messy death. I must apologize to him for that, when next we meet.

And thought "I wonder when, after the finale of that book, Miles ever remembered this thought, and what further thoughts it might have triggered."

I got so impatient waiting for SFBC to clear up my order problem (my credit card was replaced between when I ordered and when they tried to ship), that I ordered the ebook from Baen.  Good read, but I wish the second half of the book were just a tad bit stronger.

That might be a good segue from writing about Miles to staying in the Vorkoverse, possibly to continue with Miles' kids later.  Wouldn't it be interesting if straightforward Ivan ended up with the job they were grooming Miles for?  >D

Was taking a course on a particular cruise line's amenities, and came across a typo that made me go "Bwah!" and do a short, hard, laugh.

Concierge Class Staterooms include:

 *   Welcome bottle of sparkling wine
 *   Fresh fruit and flowers
 *   Evening hors d’oeuvres
 *   Personalized stationary for writing home
 *   Upgraded [redacted] tote ba
 *   The use of high-powered binoculars and umbrella
 *   Deluxe pillow menu

They get a genderless Cetagandan imperial servant?  Upgraded, no less?

Bwah ha ha ha!

Yes. And it was very quite enjoyable :) I'd lend it to you but the lending option is not enabled. :(

Also, have you read "Penric's Shaman"?  Follow up to "Lord Penric's Demon".

I haven't gotten into the Penric books. From the interview I loved this quote about a nascent idea
" It rode along as a potential in what I called “Schrödinger’s Cat Carrier” for many years thereafter."
"Change is the end result of all true learning."
