Right now the release date is nov 2012. But Baen often does e-arcs of their books, up to 6 months before the print release. So I am going to keep my eyes open as of April 2012.

Isn't that the web-subscription way, first 1/4 first month, second 1/4 second month, final 1/2 in third month?  Or just... "Samples free, but the real crack will cost you"?  It's a business model that seems to work for them, anyway.

Yeah... very Bujold response there.  :D  Me, I'll wait for the complete version, past the ARC stage.

I couldn't resist. I bought the e-arc that first day. For $15 you get the entire book. I have bought several e-arc from baen, and read the 'official' version. I never caught any difference between the two versions.
It was worth the money for me.
I liked this book much more than the last one, Cryoburn. I am not sure why that one fell flat for me. Other than Miles, it was a new cast of characters, and none of them really jumped out at me. And we were getting enough corporate corruption in the newspapers (still are, for that matter); I need something different in my escapism fiction.
Offering the first six chapters seems like a good model. Get them hooked and ready to open the wallet. Of course, that only works with the good books.

Remember, either spoiler bars or PM to answer that, so the rest of us don't get told before we get to read! :)

In Bujold's own words, this is "Ivan's book". So the real question to ask is 'what is Ivan's reaction to the whole thing.'
I will say that I certainly couldn't have predicted this book, which is the main reason I loved it.

As for your original question, all I will say is classy but revealing.
