2011 releases.

Not sure about this Dmitri is not my favourite character.

But you must admit that Dmitri is interesting! :D

I admit there's something about him. I knew from hints that she wanted to write about different GH characters. I was just hoping to find out more about Ashwini and Janvier.

It's Galen who likes Jessamay (the teacher who was born unable to fly).   :)

Speculation with some spoilers on The Ghost in the Psy/Changeling series:

At this point, I think I'll actually be pretty disappointed if the Ghost isn't Kaleb. I just did a re-read of all of the books in order. Some interesting things I've noticed:

1. Kaleb is at least the equivalent of a major anchor -- although I'm not sure if it's specifically mentioned that's he's an "anchor" or not, it's said many times that he's so hooked into the net, and definitely has direct communication with both the Net Mind and the Dark Mind.

2. The Ghost is also majorly hooked into the net/silence. I can't remember which book it is, but it's mentioned that, when the Ghost breaks Silence, it will fracture as a whole in the net.

3. Kaleb has been searching non-stop for someone for about 6 1/2 years. He finally gets the first hints of this person's whereabouts in ... Blaze of Memory, I think. And in that book, he holds up a silver star that is apparently related to that person. (There was speculation on another board that he's looking for Faith's cousin Sahara Nightstar, who has been missing for about that long.) In Play of Passion, Judd asks The Ghost if there is even one person that he doesn't want to die if Silence fractures, and it's pretty clear that there is one person that The Ghost cares about.

4. Interestingly, BOTH Kaleb and The Ghost are way too busy with other preoccupations in Play of Passion and hardly ever appear.

Although I'm really salivating over Hawke's book, I find myself waiting more and more to get Kaleb's story.

I don't want to write the great American novel. I want to write the great American beach read. It pays better!

I think you are right- that Kaleb is the Ghost. It does seem to lead to that. I also think he will be the core Psy figure for the next story arc I think. Like things was leading up to Hawke in this one.

Kate, I totally agree with you on all points. I've been thinking some of the same things and I've convinced myself up to this point that Kaleb is the Ghost. However, it never occured to me that is could be Faith's cousin, Sahara. That's a whole new twist to the story.  ;D
