Will Patty ever re-visit the Hob?
« on: April 10, 2009, 11:32:38 am »
I really enjoyed this book, especially the character of the Hob. To me, it felt like a story about two outsiders finding a relationship with each other, with the added attraction of the magic and mythology.

It's obvious that Patty spent a lot of time building the Hob's world, and I would love to see some of the other minor characters explored more, since the plot of "Bargain" didn't have room for anything else!

It also felt like it ended in such a way that it could be picked up for a series, and I was wondering if that was Patty's intent, and she's just been too busy with other books to get back to it or if that was an option she was keeping open? Or maybe I'm completely wrong, and she meant for it to stand alone? It does, but still ... I'm left wanting more.

Hi, Artemis, and welcome to Hurog.

You're not the first to ask the question.  :D  If you look here http://hurog.com/forum/index.php?board=105.0 you'll find a couple of iterations of the question, along with Patty's replies.

It's been said the only time my mind is in the gutter is the rare occasion it rises out of the sewer. Heh-heh-heh.
