She was one of the first SF/F authors I found in my High School library.
I had no idea at the time that a lady was 'Andre'; I can't believe I would have cared.
For me, it's always been the way the author puts the words together and drags me in, not inconsequential details about who/what they are.

I read several of hers, including the first WITCHWORLD I believe, but it's been way too long. I feel a trip to the secondhand store coming on.

Check the Gutenberg database, see if any of them are available there electronically.

I'd only read Lavender Green Magic of the ones in that series. Having read all the review links, I will have to look up the others. I confess to having the same reaction to the dialect in LGM, only it never occurred to me that it might be a device to indicate the foreignness of the local languages.
