The molds look awesome, but they're too small and detailed for the type of modeling stuff I'm pouring, so they aren't working, unfortunately.

I'm also trying to come up with a set of rules that we can test and modify, and then maybe have a tournament via private message and Games and Trivia portion of the board.

As for the cats, I'm actually thinking that I could paint them like Henry and Gus and give them to my friends for Christmas tree ornaments.  Though I may keep them as part of my game or another game (I'd like to do a regular chess set, too.

Oh, the carved wooden cats would totally go with the "Second Chance" writing challenge!  If you wanted to give them to the top finisher for each round of that....

So, I have been diligently working, and as I got to meet Patty today, I presented her with this:

I only made two mushrooms per side, and I was going for "stylized morel" so they kind of look more like, "wonky square-based pyramid."  Trust me.  They're mushrooms.  :P
The snake pieces were the second pieces I made, and they maintain the highly stylized design.
The other animals tend to be more immediately recognizable, although the rats look like mice and the foxes... well I'm going to claim that they're arctic foxes, and THAT is why their ears are so tiny and noses are too short.  I finished the foxes and the stags last night, so I didn't really have time to re-do any pieces that I wasn't totally happy with.

Patty, if the game is supposed to have more mushrooms or any other pieces, or if you'd like one of the pieces to be different, let me know and I'd be happy to provide them for you.  I've got about two feet of square dowel left.

Looks like a stylized set that might be carved out by someone on their own rather than a professional carver, to me.

Nice job Kyria! I like. Now we just need rules for the game. 9)
