I was trying to figure out if there was a way to be notified that I have a reply to something I posted other than looking at it. I'm not all that tech savvy so I thought Help would be a good place to look. I just couldn't figure out how to find it.

The notify button is right beside the reply button. You can see it at the very top of a thread or at the very bottom of one. I've not used it but I think it'll send you an e-mail to let you know there's been a post in a particular thread.

You can also Notify whole boards to let you know when new topics have been started.

The board sends you an e-mail.
I just placed a notification on this thread and it let me know that you posted. So cool. I learned something new about the board today as well.

You can also set in your profile o get email notification/copy of PMs. It's a good way to store info you may need to refer to later, especially if there's any kind of server glitch with PM storage.

At the top there is a link that says "Show replies to your posts."
I just use that.

The missing lynx
! Actually it's a caracal that I got to hold a couple of years ago. Very cute. Now I just need a signature and I'm all set.

I just joined and am having a problem with the avatar. I get an error message that the pictuer is too big or not an avatar. Please, what does this mean and how do I fix it? Thanks.

You're at 129px × 129px pixel size, our maximum pixel size is 65px × 65px.
Now, I don't know how to change it, being a technoneanderthal, but I'm sure one or more of the others can help you with it.
