Found the press release :D
From what I understand - Patty will have some say in the movie so that is definitely a good thing. And Mike Newell who has directed Donnie Brasco, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and the upcoming Prince of Persia movie has a diverse and eclectic CV. I think its hard to keep alot of things from the books but then movies are different medium - but I have a good feeling about this and I am not a big fan of books turned to movies. Blood and Chocolate anyone? :(

Yes it is! I know it's selfish, but I wish all the books were out, and the movie so that I wouldn't have to wait anymore

Well there is no guarantee it might be made- its just being optioned at the moment. But I haz good feeling! :D

But movie making takes a looooooooong time. And its best to be prep for a long time, rushed productions can make a crappy movie- I am looking at you X-Files 2 :(

True. If they choose to go ahead with the Mercy movies, I want them to take their time to perfect it. Waiting better than having a crap movie

Since this has moved in the movie territory I've merged the 'Mercy TV' thread with the existing Mercy movie talk. Remember to visit the Dreamcast thread if you want to speculate about which actor you'd like to see in each role.

I read this article http://www.publishersweekly.com/article/CA6601320.html that says Bill Contardi has just closed on a film deal for Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson Books with 50 Canon Entertainment.  Any news on this yet?  Is Patty going to be involved in the script?

Hi Tannun,

There's an existing thread talking about that particular article. I'll lock this thread and either myself or one of the other mods will merge it your post. :)
