ok so was just skimming through the forums to see if any new info has shown up regarding a new hurog book. but alas to no avail yet, but i did find alot of the subject matters quite amusing especially on the suggestions for the book titles lol "dragon's butt" nice and some of the fawning over characters wheeeew near borderline otaku status. But the thing is I find all this great, glad to see sooo many people that love this series too. Well since all the speculation on wht the 3rd book will be figure i should put in my bid *chuckle*. Now i've seen alot of suggestions like butt, back, brain, scales, etc. but it seems like they just don't strike me as following the same vain as the first 2 books (I mean those 2 dealt with pieces and parts of the dragon that others sought out and meant to use for their immense power right) so i think the next book should deal with and be titled after the next but hardest to get part of a dragons power and really i mean its already been discussed in part in the first 2 books right................Have i built up enough suspense yet *hee hee*........NO dang!!!oh well on with it then, honestly I think the third book should be called DRAGON SOUL(S) pluralization optional. I know it doesn't continue the DB theme everyone was goin for but I don't think that part matters too much does it? well thanks for considering my opinion. :P

Dragon Brains would be a funny working title.

I should learn not to read speculations - reading the old post "what if"ing the death of Oreg nearly gave me a heart attack.  :-'

Although it's already been stated not to happen, I still rally for a short story relating to Oreg's past - which although dark and depressing, as well as having an ending we already know, is just such an epic story in relation to the betrayl and the 'famous hero' that wasn't such a hero after all. Dark as it is, that seems like something I desperately would love to dip into and witness "in person" after hearing the bits and pieces. It'd be weirdly like witnessing history.

That aside though, I'm so absolutely in love with Ward and Oreg that a third book could be made simply involve them going on a picnic and I'd buy it in hard cover.  :P

The establishment of the hurog line... either the actual love story between the dragon and the mage, or just the establishment of the keep.

Hmm. Oreg did say that it was an "unhappy marriage", so things might not have been so peachy keen. From his description, it sounds like that part of history might have been very turbulent indeed.

I Would like to see the title Dragon's Breath.  It fits with the Body part and the DB thing.  I love Zealith idea about the love story between the dragon and the mage.   Or..... what if Ward's younger brother saves everone with a song. He is a Bard after all. But He would need the help of a magic item...

I would also like to know more about the creatures in this world. Like what was the big thing with fins in the underground river? River Dragons maybe?

Oh I would love that! It always seems that the Hob's world is just thiiis (holding thumb and forefinger a half inch or so apart) far away from several of Patty's other worlds. And I just love the Hob and that world so darn much!

An interesting notion but since cross-overs are rarely seen outside of fanfic, how about a face off between the Dragons of Hurog and the source of corruption of the 5 kingdoms ? Dragon's Justice ?

We have Bones. We have Blood. How about soul? Dragon Soul. It may be a bit dicey but I could see that focusing on Oreg. I do really like Dragon Justice as well. Nice one. Some really great specs here!

Naw, the dragon wings are free with a full tankard of Dwarven ale.  Of course, it's a trick.  They put so much hot sauce on the dragon wings that you have to keep ordering ale, and the ale comes with more wings. . .
And then you wake up in an ally, smelling of things best not thought of and your wallet is missing.
