Title: Christopher Paolini
Post by: Eccentric_Rose on January 06, 2011, 02:02:45 pm
I looked all through the threads and never found Christopher Paolini!  :o So I  made one.  bOuNcY I loved his books. I read the Eragon series. It was delightfully entertaining and the series had many twists and turns. I cannot wait for the fourth book to come out! 9) I have only been waiting for it for about a month now and it is hard to wait. I wonder how Artangel and Fizz could wait even longer than I have. Paolini has gained the highest honor of my favorite writer. ( Besides Patricia's Raven series. :P Both of them are tied. :D)  bOuNcY bOuNcY bOuNcY

Did you just start the series? I've been reading them as they came out, but I'm lost interest enough that I doubt I'll be buying the fourth on in hardback.

I have all the others in hardback, so no matter what, I'll be gettingt he 4th in HB to complete my set.....anyways, I'm disappointed and have lost my sense of excitement due to the wait, but I definitly want to read the last book.....if it ever comes out......

I'll be highly disappointed if it doesn't come out,but I may not buy it at all, might depend on the waitlist at the library. :D  I don't mind so much if my sets don't match perfectly. After all, I have limited space and hardbacks take up more room.

:-\ Don't think I'll purchase a copy of the fourth one at all; however I will probably read it through the library if and when it is published.

So, does anyone know when the 4th book is coming out?  :)

Seems like a long wait. When it comes to books it seems like years to wait instead of a year.  LOL

I was sure disappointed in the movie. They left too much out.
But I think I was being unfair, as something must be left out.
And what was there was well done.

They did leave a lot out.  :( If they could re-make the movie and make them like as long as the lord of the rings, that would be so awesome! Then the detail of the book, which is almost the best part, could be all fit in!  bOuNcY bOuNcY bOuNcY

But the movie they do have was not to bad.  :)

Bill, who was one of your favorite characters in the books?

Saphira!

I missed the lore about her saddle and it's making.

Yeah, I really liked him. He was awesome!  :D I have a feeling I will be disappointed on the end of the 4th one though.  :-' I am prepared for the worst. But I still cross my figures and hope that he will live. :)

Where d'you think my name's from sillies? ^^ Galbalicious for good old King Galby, everyone's favorite tyrant XD

I adored the first book, I think I've read it more times than any other book except maybe Timothy Zahn's Star warses. The second was a bit of a let down, and the third, even more so.

The movie was proverbial poop on a stick and I want my two hours back, plus a few thousand dollars in damages for my shattered childhood dreams QQ

I'm still looking forwards to the fourth, but no longer with the same obsession ^^

I liked all of them. I havn't had to wait long though so my mind hasn't wandered to other books as much.

I really liked the books but its been so long I'll have to re-read them all! I will do that however because I still can't wait for the fourth...as Rob says 'if it ever comes out' LOL

I liked the movie because I watched it before I read the books...but now I'm kind of dissapointed in it!

I got a shock last month when I noticed midnight release notifications at Hastings. It doesn't seem like there was as much fanfair as there was for the 2nd and 3rd books. It was a little slow to start (but that could just be me), but I did stay up 'till 8am to finish it, so I'd recomend getting your hands on it.

Hmm, might be time to see if books three and four are available at the library.

That is so sweet. Last time I had Artangel to look for me it didn't even have a title on it. I can't wait.  bOuNcY

It probably was a little slow because at times I think the books did get slow but still very interesting.

A new book has been released in this series in December 2018.  I just downloaded it from the library.  It starts after the last book ends and consists of three stories.

Let me know if you enjoy it, please. My enjoyment of the series decreased with each new book, but I loved the first one, and even the second one so much I still hope.
